An excerpt from the inspirational poem, 'The Race.' A true winner isn't the one who comes first, it's the one who endures and perseveres despite the hardships and difficulties.

Many people say they hate change but in truth, without change there is nothing to hope for. Our world and our lives are not perfect and so we look forward to a brighter day, a nicer world and a better life. When troubles come we become consumed with them and tend to forget that everything is transitory and things will change. The only things that are permanent are not of this world. God, His Word and our souls are eternal. These three are the most important aspects of our existence and if we fix our minds on them rather than the things of this world we will find peace.
We all get discouraged at times, especially when things go wrong or other people hurt us. Sometimes we can seem to go through a string of disappointments that compound our sadness till we wonder if things are ever going to be right again. And sometimes our profound sense of loss, loneliness or rejection can strip away our hope altogether. Charles Spurgeon, and many other Christians like him, have found a source of strength and hope in the person and promises of Jesus. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and that light is the Lord.

If we did come from nothing, then we wouldn’t have a purpose. Faith believes in what we cannot see. The same way we believe in the wind or hot air.
